Guest Post Guidelines
Cape Town Insider accepts a limited number of guest posts from writers who know the city and have something real to say about it. Here's what fits — and what doesn't.
What we publish
- Original, first-person Cape Town content — restaurant reviews, neighbourhood guides, day trip itineraries, local lifestyle tips
- Writing with a genuine point of view — not generic "top 10" listicles rewritten from other sites
- Practical, honest, and useful — the kind of article you'd actually send to a friend visiting Cape Town
What we don't publish
- AI-generated or spun content
- Thinly veiled advertorials or promotional pieces disguised as editorial
- Content about destinations outside the Western Cape
- Anything previously published elsewhere (no syndication)
How to submit
Send your pitch through the contact form above. Select "Guest Post Submission" as the enquiry type. Include:
- A working title and 2–3 sentence summary of your angle
- A link to at least one published writing sample
- Your connection to Cape Town — do you live here, visit regularly, or have a specific story to tell?
I review every submission personally. If your pitch is a good fit, I'll come back to you within a week with next steps. If it's not the right match, I'll let you know — no ghosting.
